Accessify Meetup - The Toon in October
As a precursor to a trip to Manchester I'm suggesting an after-work drink in Newcastle in October.
This is open to everyone but to be honest I'm only expecting people who live in the North East to want to give it a shot!
Suggested date: thursday 27 october, from around 5:30
suggested venue: central station area (for ease of transport) starting point the centurion, then just head wherever we fancy.
can anyone interested indicate here. I am open to changing dates/venues if this is not amenable.

Not a runner for me unfortunately, but I'm glad to see you are taking your research commitments seriously Jack. I expect a full report.

Again, due to proximity of moving home, I don't think I'd make the 27th.

*BUMP*
Just thought I'd remind everyone...
don't seem to be able to get in touch with either McSkiver, Dirk Diggler or Phunky who were also in the Newcastle area at some point. If anyone knows any of them - or anyone else in the area - feel free to point them in the direction of this thread.
cheers
[Edit]got message from Phunky - no longer in the area[/edit]

hmm... think that means you might have to drink two shares of beer, though, if you're attending as two members!
also, I have managed to contact Juliet8 and Dirk Diggler who are provisionally up for it but will decide nearer the time.
Well, if that's the price to pay for having a dual identity I can take it. Sounds like it could be quite an interesting meet-up now with quite a few people involved!
Hi All
Just heard about the meetup and being in Newcastle I should be able to come along - I might drag a couple of others along too.
I dont finish work until 6 though so might be half an hour late or so. Any word on the preffered venue - The Forth perhaps?

sorry for the delay in replying, I've been otherwise engaged - just had our second little boy so my forum activity hasn't been what it should be.
[slaps own wrists for being naughty]
aaanyway, the plan was to meet in the Centurion. I'd be more than happy to wander up to the Forth after that, though... everyone still up for it?

I love The Forth and their foreign booze.... I'd be more than happy to just meet there from 5.30.
On the other hand, I could potentially be paralytic by 6 if I drink Duvel....

okay then, if we've got two for the forth, I'll happily switch to that for a starting point - assuming no-one else has any objections?
Forth is good for me. Great beer and even closer to the office
