Bob Regan over at Macromedia tells me Flash can be made highly accessible if done right, are any of you using Acccessible Flash in a production environment?
Any comments/experiences/rants welcome. Bob is a member of the board (bregan) so I'm sure he'd appreciate your comments too.

As long as the site is still functional and degrades gracefully without Flash I am fairly happy, I remember a while back in June that the Macromedia site 'non-flash HTML version' contained numerous links that should have been still available in the HTML only, which were inaccessible.};-) http://www.xhtmlcoder.com/

I have flash on the home page of Accessibility-Review.com. I followed the instructions for making it accessibile, however I'm not sure if it worked as I can't tell if it displays the alt text for it.

Its definitley a step in the right direction and Macromedia are to be commended. Speaking as someone who uses Actionscript a lot, I'd like to see the accessibility options scriptable in the next version.

I've started attempting accessible Flash development, but it's very difficult to recognize success. I'd like to see some accessibility testing tools from Macromedia.
The popular screen readers are all too expensive for developers to afford unless they are doing accessibility consulting a majority of the time. For most accessibility-conscious developers, including myself, accessibility is a high priority, but purchasing a full licensce is just out of the question. I've been lobbying a test-copy at my work for six months now and keep getting the run-around.
I propose Macromedia release a limited-capability screen reader specifically for testing Flash. It could even be built into the app, like an Accessiblity option in the Publish Preview.

Kev, check out these resources for the _accProps property. I don't have the latest Moock reference, but it may be listed in there as well.
