I received this today from Meg Munn MP for Sheffield Heeley

Excellent, nice one. It restores a little of my faith in the democratic system.

I'm not sure there's much more can be done just now - I received an email yesterday from the DTI saying that the internal review is taking longer than anticipated due to the complexity of the issues. Should have an answer in early September. Hopefully we'll soon see some improvements on the DTI site itself...
Reply with quote Got a letter from my MP, with a copy of a letter he'd sent to the DTI minister.

Worth a try?

Certainly is. I've shown my support, and we only need 80-odd signatures to make the first page of open petitions on the No.10 site, and 9000+ to make top spot.

According to the front page Accessify Forum has 4384 members, so come on you lot, that'll get us nearly half-way. Wink
Reply with quote I've added my support, and will pass on the link to a few other folks.

Anyone else fancy telling El Reg/ Outlaw? A bit too solo-nutter if I do it myself

I've written to a contact at OUT-LAW. I'll post if I get a response.

The lovely people at OUT-LAW have replied to me and say that they are aware of the issue, but they are not currently able to say whether or not they will be covering the story.

Thats unlike Struan.

How about the new ZDnet Accessibility section?

If it can go wrong it will. So don't worry about it.

I assume that there may be some legal implications to covering accessibility issues with a government site?
