101 Ways To Help Save The Planet
33) Turn the M25 into a giant Roller Derby track
34) Dont move if you are happy at home
35) Plant something with green leaves (bush, tree, etc.)
Get politicians to:
36. force companies to recycle (not currently a requirement!)
37. force companies to switch off lights and inactive workstations off at the end of the day
38. raise the standard for power efficiency of electronics and possibly engines every year.
... obviously this will never happen because it is not taxable

| Saving our planet same us saving our selves..Before anything else if we want a healthy surroundings make sure that your living in a clean and peaceful environment.Cleaning the tabs, the garbage can and the cans the have waters inside.Instead of burning garbages just dig it under the land.

So many things that are not true or contain half truths
Landfills will slowly poison the land and often generate methane which is a worst greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide
what we percieve as clean could actually be a sterile enviroment which would not help the global enviroment
with modern technology burning rubbish/trash could be more helpful in preserving a living enviroment, this could be used to generate heat and power and air scrubbers could remove harmful gases
Well if we knockout the cars we definetly on the right path. Big companies are not in a hurry to make cleaner cars, il rather place my bet on small groups like (www.automotogreen.com) to create the technology and force the big companies to react. Its been years and nothing is realy out there.
Every major manufacturer has a small car in their line-up. Generally, motorists are choosing not to buy them.

| A burning cigarette releases 5W of power, apparently. I thought it would be lower than that.
Assuming a standard 100W incandescent bulb gives off around 30W as useful light and 70W as heat, then 15 fags = 1 lightbulb in terms of waste power? |
Interesting in terms of power, but I wonder how much combined crap is given off into the atmosphere on an hourly basis, say compared to the use of vehicles. I'm sure that our vehicles are a much bigger offender.

that is just looking at the end user there are a few other thing you can add to the equation, from start to finish
- usable farmland is wasted to grow it
processing the harvest
packaging
transport of goods
all of this is taking resources to give people a dubious pleasure
the farmland could be used for biofuels, food, or returned to the wild to act as a carbon sink all of which would be more useful
on second thoughts though make chain smoking compulsary
it will hasten the deaths of lots of people and lower the fertility rate

have you any suggestions for this one using the gaia hypothesis, nature will try to do this for use, if you are right ie new diseases ect though nature might need a hand 10. if we cannot do the above we might need more readily availble birth control |

A treadmill in every prison cell - wouldn't need that new generation of nuclear reactors then.
