Number of corporations who have made accessibility efforts?
Hello everyone,
I was wondering if there have been any recent surveys of companies or corporations that have made efforts to implement accessibility (either voluntarily or by mandate)? For example, one could count Target and Amazon as companies with accessibility efforts, although they were mandated to. Thank you!

This is a very interesting question, as I think it is extremely hard to answer.
I have come across companies who needed help with accessibility. Not knowing much about it, they have done a great job putting together an accessible site, simply by using good coding and design practices. Some of these sites tend to be more accessible than others which claim a high level of accessibility.
While the number of these corporation will be very hard to find, you can search for the WCAG icons, which will at least give you a list of companies who considered accessibility.

Like "tbabinszki" mentioned, good luck in finding statistics on "accessible websites." The Department of Justice doesn't even have statistics on the number of ADA compliant businesses (not that I can see anyway).
