Pardon the plug but I just blogged about the accessibility and usability issues we're starting to see as a result of organisations trying to meet the EU legislation on the use of cookies. I'd welcome any comments as I think it's an issue that could get much worse:

Since cookie can be disabled in browsers, can be copied, deleted; I think that serious websites don't rely on cookies, and use them just for minor data and info with less importance.
