Xstandard slow to load?

Reply with quote Hi guys,

I recently registered XStandard version 2.0 for Windows and it installed fine and everything. However it takes ages to load.

When i go to load a page with the editor on it, it almost freezes every time and will take about 60 seconds just to load. My computer is practically brand new and it's a really fast computer, i just cant work out whats going on.

Anyone else encountered this problem, or know how to fix it?

Thanks.
Reply with quote Sounds like a DNS or another network related issue. Depending on how you configured the editor (via <param> tags), when the editor loads, it downloads configuration files such as license.txt, styles.xml, format.css, etc. Sounds like the editor is not able to download these files and there is a time delay in loading because the editor is waiting for a timeout setting before giving up attempts to download these files.

Contact Support at support @ xstandard.com and they will help debug the problem. Send them the <object>/<param> tags you are using.

FYI, this forum is for imporoving accessibility of the editor/markukp it generates so you will get a much faster response to all other questions if you contact Support directly.
