Tab Navigation, Flash and ohter issues
In the spirit of Picasso: "I am always doing that which I can not do, in order that I may learn how to do it."
I have two major problems with this page:
1) when testing tab navigation, I get 'stuck' on play at the Flash video. I can't move beyond it. I can play it, but cannot move beyond it even when it's over. (there is is an HTML5 fallback to the video)
2) I have a (visual tab/button) tabbed inset that goes to different portions of the page. I can't get to the content of each tabbed section. I have been testing screen readers using NVDA http://www.nvda-project.org/ which will read the content section if I mouse over it- but not by tabbing.
This is the site http://elbarney.com/accessibility/index.html
I have tried Alt + -> and other keyboard nav combinations - none I have tried work.
What can I do to fix this? Do I need a skip nav for the tab section content?
And, I have read about this problem is Flash - sort of - but everything I read seems to refer to navigation WITHING a Flash object, not how to get beyond it to the rest of the page.
Any help would be welcome.
