Accessibility certification
Home / Legal Issues & Web Standards / Accessibility certification
someone has pointed me in the direction of www.brainbench.com where you can take tests and gain a certification. They have one for accessibility and am thinking about taking it.
Does anyone have any experience with this, and is it worth doing?
I did a couple of Brainbench exams for fun a few years ago (when they were free).
The question really is: what do you want to get out of it? If it's simply to test your knowledge - go for it. If you want it to boost credibility, then that's something only you can decide.
A certification is only as good as the credibility of the certification itself.
As for the fee, well the certificate only lasts for 3-year and a good portfolio of accessible websites should more than suffice.
